Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion wedding
The Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion is a wedding venue with plenty of old charm. It sits in the historic neighborhood Quality Hill neighborhood in Capitol Hill. It offers a spacious 10,000 feet which is great for small or large sized weddings. There’s a flower garden, terrace, and a porch with giant columns and steps.
The sunlight can be pretty harsh on the stairs of columns during late afternoon weddings in September so keep that in mind. The east side of the building offers some nice shade for family portraits. Inside, there’s a grand staircase and baby grand piano in the dining hall. This area is perfect for smaller sized wedding parties but if you need the extra space, there’s more connecting rooms for seating.
The dancing is held downstairs in an old ballroom. There’s a stage where DJ’s can set up above the dance floor. It offers plenty of space for dancing but keep in mind the ceilings are lower since it’s an older building. There’s an adjacent room that can hold a photo booth and a space for beverages and a dessert table.
The mansion is perfect if you’re looking for a wedding with old southern charm surrounded by flower beds and majestic staircases.
