Here’s a list of the best Denver wedding venues.

I’m sharing an extensive list of the best Denver wedding venues to help make your planning easier. Denver is a great city to host your wedding because it’s located near some incredible scenic mountain spots. The city itself offers plenty of entertainment for all of your guests and they’ll get cheaper lodging vs. staying in a resort mountain town. All of these locations I’ve listed are within a 30 minute drive from Downtown Denver. They range from Garden wedding venues, micro breweries, hotels, and historic mansions.

Garden Wedding Venues

A lush garden venue

Balistreri Vineyards – Even though Denver has a dry climate, we have some beautiful floral wedding venues including Balistreri Vineyeards. It’s located near the Excel Energy factory which is a little odd because the entire area is industrial and then you have this beautiful lush green wedding venue tucked inside.

Downstairs in the cellar is a giant keg room filled with barrels of alcohol. It’s usually the getting ready location for the guys. It’s a cool spot for portraits.

This Denver wedding venue holds up to 250 people and during warmer months there’s easy access between the reception room and garden area that’s separated by a garage door.

The garden area has a beautiful lawn with ivy covered walls surrounded by flower beds. It feels private and you soon forget about the factory that’s nearby.

The reception room features a grand staircase and a large sitting area for guests. There’s tall ceilings and a large dance floor.

Balistreri Vineyards includes catering with tables and linen along with a bridal dressing room. For more info check out their website.

Denver Botanic Gardens

If you’re looking for a venue filled with flowers and lots of bright colors, check out Denver Botanic Gardens. There’s plenty of areas that offer great backdrops including the greenhouse, Monet pool with lily pads, and Japanese Garden. There’s lots to explore.

There’s two main areas where ceremonies are held. The Romantic Gardens and the Woodland Mosaic.

The Romantic Gardens includes Schlessman Plaza and the Fragrance Garden which makes up a formal look. Couples exchange vows in front of a long narrow path of grass lined with tall trees (Arborvitae) on each side. Schlessman Plaza features brick and stucco gazebos along with Tuscan style rustic columns. I’ve seen cello and harp musicians fill this spot to add some classical ambience to the ceremony.

Note: One thing to keep in mind is that during the end of August in the late afternoon, the sunlight is harsh and can be hard for guests to view of the vows without sunglasses or Chinese folding fans.

The Woodlands Mosaic area features a solarium that is surrounded by tall trees and flowers. Perfect for smaller, intimate weddings as it can seat up to accommodate up to 50 guests. While there’s less room for a photographer to roam around, the solarium helps block out the harsh sunlight with a covered roof and windows.

Note: The path to get here is wheelchair accessible.

Receptions are held either outside for smaller parties at the greenhouse or inside at Gates Hall. If you have a large guest count of 100 people or more than Mitchell Hall is the space for you.

The Pavilion at Cheesman Park

That Pavilion at Cheesman Park is a simple wedding venue that has neoclassical marble columns. The pavilion is surrounded by beautiful flower beds. It’s a great location for intimate weddings that holds 150 guests. You just need to apply for a permit here.

It’s in the heart of the city within close proximity to City Park and sits right behind Denver Botanic Gardens. It’s also within a 10 minute drive to downtown Denver.

Grant-Humphreys Mansion

I’ve photographed here many times and it’s one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings. Talk about historic, this place was built in 1902! It features several rooms and floors and holds up to 200 guests. There’s a lot of Victorian decorations in each of the rooms so if you’re into vintage, this is the place. Ceremonies are held outside on a beautiful porch with marbled columns. There’s plenty of flowers that surround the outside and a huge lawn area for getting private bride and groom portraits. Receptions are held downstairs with enough space for a DJ and a dance floor on one side and the other side can accommodate a photo booth and a couple of small tables. Check out their website for rates and more info.

This elegant estate offers expansive vistas with beautiful architecture. It’s located in Highlands Ranch which is a 30 minute drive from downtown Denver. This place is huge! It’s surrounded by 250 acres near a private neighborhood. There’s not a bad view in the entire estate. Visit their website for more info.

Note: Sunset offers some beautiful mountain views from the south side of the property looking towards the mountains.

Are you looking for a wedding venue that’s away from the city and offers scenic views of the mountains? Boettcher Mansion in Golden is a close 30 minute drive west of Denver. It sits on top of a hill above the city located right off I-70 and has a large woodsy forrest surrounding the property with views of the mountains. Inside looks like a giant cabin with stone covered walls.

Note. The best view of the mountains is directly across the main road. There’s a ledge that is perfect for mountain vista views and it’s easy to access. Just be careful not to slip off the edge!

The Manor House

The Manor House is another favorite wedding venue of mine. It’s located about 30 minutes south of Denver in Littleton, Colorado. It holds up to 200 guests and rests on six acres of land that offers majestic views of the foothills and the Denver skyline in the background of the ceremony site. The large window panel doors create some majestic light on the front porch. A great spot for doing first looks. There’s a library room that’s great for bridal portraits. The reception area has large tall white ceilings which make it easy to photograph. Visit their website for more info.
