Amanda & Vishnu had a gorgeous summer wedding in the foothills at Sunrise Amphitheater. I had a joyful time photographing Amanda’s niece while the girls got ready at St. Julien Hotel & Spa. They had some incredible views of the Boulder foothills so I incorporated then into their getting ready moments. Amanda’s dad wept when he saw his beautiful daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. It was a touching moment to photograph.

It was one of those hot, sweltering heat days in August but the ceremony views made it all worth it. This small amphitheater holds only 100 guests so It’s ideal for intimate weddings. Amanda & Vishnu planted a tree to symbolize their new adventure as they grow stronger together. Amanda was one of those brides that are a dream to photograph. She let her emotions pour out during the ceremony that included jubilant smiles and heartfelt tears.

Their ceremony was held at Flagstaff Restaurant. Not to be outdone but the views of the Boulder valley are also breathtaking. It seats up to 150 guests for weddings and fills up quickly so be sure to reserve a spot well advance to your wedding. Although the dance floor is small, there’s still plenty of room to hold 50 guests. I always enjoy a packed dance floor as it creates more intimate photos. There were choreographed dances that transitioned into all out wild dancing as the night progressed.
