Hi, I’m Rudy
My story…
I didn’t set out to become a wedding photographer.
I spent years on the streets of Denver with a camera — learning how to read a room, find the light, and stay invisible long enough for something real to happen.
That’s still how I shoot weddings.
After 15 years behind the lens, I’ve learned that the images people hold onto aren’t the ones they posed for. They’re the in-between glances. The quiet exchanges. The way your people look at you when you’re not paying attention.
That’s what I’m here to find.
Now based in Denver, I photograph weddings with a calm, observant presence — preserving your celebration as it unfolds naturally, without turning it into a production.
Because your wedding isn’t a performance. It’s an experience.
Things I love the Most

Humor keeps things honest
I’ll never interrupt your wedding — but I might join the dance floor for a minute.

The people who shape us
Family is everything to me.

Before weddings, there were streets
For over a decade, I’ve been photographing Denver — not for clients, but because I can’t stop. That work has been shown in galleries and printed in zines I’ve sold. It’s documentary photography in its purest form: no brief, no client, just light and instinct and whatever’s unfolding in front of you.
That eye is what I bring to every wedding I shoot.

Hiking
I always feel a sense of wonder and awe when I’m hiking in Colorado. It’s invigorating and it helps re-charge my battery after a busy wedding season.
Where this all comes from
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me walking city streets with a camera in hand. Street photography taught me to anticipate moments instead of directing them—to notice quiet gestures, fleeting expressions, and the relationships between people and the spaces they inhabit.
It’s the same way I photograph weddings.
Kind Words

“Wow! That is all I could say when i saw his finished product.
We chose Rudy because we saw something different in his work that we couldn’t find in most photographers. He really captures the true essence of a time and place and adds character to it.”

“His photos go beyond recording the events of the day.
Rudy captured joyful, beautiful and lasting memories of my daughter’s wedding day with his photographs. His photos go beyond just recording the events of the day. His images reveal genuine emotion…candid and unique shots of our family’s once in a lifetime celebration.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the photos!
Rudy was a fantastic photographer at our September 2023 wedding in Denver. We really wanted our photographer to capture the joy and relationships at the wedding which he really did.”

“Hiring Rudy was the single best decision I made for our wedding.
I originally contacted Rudy because I didn’t want the fuss of a traditional wedding photographer at our reception. I just wanted to party and have it documented. Rudy captured so many perfect moments of our night. Rudy’s photos tell the story of our party. They show dance moves and smiles and moments you wished you could capture.”

What it’s like to work with me.
My role is to create space — not take it over.
I approach weddings with a calm, observant presence — documenting what unfolds naturally and stepping in with thoughtful direction when it truly matters. Family portraits are handled efficiently. Couple portraits feel relaxed and unforced. The rest of the day is yours to experience fully.
I work comfortably within well-planned timelines and alongside experienced vendors, adapting seamlessly to both intimate gatherings and refined, formal celebrations.
The result is imagery that feels honest and composed — never staged, never overworked — but intentional and lasting.
